Black kyanite with terrific textures was cut and ground by lapidary techniques.  A dichroic glass maker permanently transformed a black stone to brilliant blue by vapor deposition of metallic oxides inpregnating the stone with multiple layers.  Sterling silver sheet, sterling silver prongs, chain and drusy beads complete a 20 inch necklace.
