Intrigued with Native Southwest American jewelry, I’ve always wanted to create my own version using traditional materials.   Spiney oyster shell fragments from Baja Mexico were cut and polished using lapidary machinery especially searching for unusual patterns and color combinations.  I fabricated a custom sterling silver bail.  Sterling silver chain and lobster clasp complete this 18 inch necklace.
